The Kenai River is the most beautiful river I've ever seen. The water is so bright, clear and blue. The view is absolutely breathtaking in every direction you turn. There wasn't a part on the River where I wasn't thinking "this is the most beautiful place"
The trees were just beginning to turn yellow, orange and red. We came right at the perfect time! As we went along the current we saw ducks, seagulls and a majestic bald eagle.
We took an all day riverboat guide down the Kenai to learn how to catch fish. Mike and I caught two big silver salmons in two different spots we tried! They both caught on our reels in the first couple minutes we tried fishing in a new spot!
It was mostly clear while we adventured down the river but it did rain a lot during our final stretch. We were exhausted by the end of the trip but glad to have spent the day in the most gorgeous atmosphere.
