Spring inspiration collection

It's almost officially springtime! My favorite season has always been Spring because of the fresh feeling of rain, the beauty of bright greens and the atmosphere of rebirth in everything; humans, animals and nature.

I'm feeling fresh flowers, lots of pinks, greens and whites.

 :

I'm feeling some spring cleaning and the need to fill up my frames with some fun artwork!

the poetry of material things:

I'm feeling energized and motivated to keep working out and getting stronger. I'm trying real hard to get the beginner trophy on the Nike Fit app and it's way awesome! Also, my new jump rope is about to be my best friend.

I'm feeling sooooooooo ready for a road trip. Mike and I are planning lots of Utah trips because we realized that we haven't really explored this gorgeous state together besides Moab (where we met).

I'm feeling like wearing flowy dresses, pretty colors and soft textures.

I'm also feeling like painting a million abstract pieces and springtime bouquets but like when am I not feeling that? haha

cutest little cloth garland

What to do with your scrap cloth that's too small to make into anything big but just TOO PRETTY to throw out....?

make your own cloth garland!

I picked pastels and mixed up patterns for the most perfect springtime party garland.

DANGEROUS KNOWLEDGE: you may love this project so much that you may not be able to stop making them....

Seriously this project will not disappoint.
Did I mention that it's NO SEW

There are literally three steps so let me list them as on the best Pinterest Project professional would do:

1) cut ribbon strips [any size you like!] from your scarp cloth pieces

2) then [hot] glue the pieces to string [I used embroidery string]
         {I  ironed the strips so they were easier to glue}

3) hang the gorgeous garland and have a party!
These garlands are the perfect party decoration and so easy to hang up/ store!
Just fold the cloth pieces over on top of each other and tie the excess string around the bundle.
I like to tie little holes on the end of the string to make hanging up easier.

So excited to use these cute decorations. such a great excuse to plan parties!

beginning Sophomore Year of college

Time doesn't just fly by, IT SPEEDS!
It has been so long since I've blogged that I honestly forgot that I had a blog.
That's pretty bad...

So here I am at college once again, beginning a new semester as a sophomore. Life is so good because I'm done with my general eds and finally diving deep into my major! (Art Education) It is amazing and I love it.

My roommates are fantastic and so beautiful! Shelby's cousin Taylor and her friend Tess moved in with us and we've instantly bonded! Our new roommates Brittney and Kate are so sweet and loving. We are so excited for this semester and the new adventure we're embarking on.

I found this super cute and comfy maxi skirt that I will be wearing everyday. Haha also my new favorite pink shirt, it's so soft<3 data-blogger-escaped-br=""> Before shopping we got to hold little kittens! Made me want one so badly
Also we tried on wedding dresses. The sleeves were so huge i dont know how my mother dealt with her big poofy ones on her wedding haha :)
