Our time in Banos was short and sweet. We stayed for one night at a nice hostel right in town. We could see a waterfall from our window and the jungle all around.
Our first activity was the thermal baths up in the mountain. We soaked in those glorious baths for an hour and felt invigorated. The next morning we rented mountain bikes and drove up to the house or the tree swing at the end of the world. We swung and zip lined and took in the gorgeous panoramic view from the top.
Then we biked down the mountain in search of waterfalls. We saw four waterfalls on the way to the biggest waterfall. the "Devil's Cauldron" It was insane. The water was gushing so hard that it created an angry spraying mist off the sharp rocks . We crawled underneath some rocks into a cave that led to a spot near the mouth of the falls. The entire experience was heart pounding!
OH yeah and the swing is not as scary as it looks. promise :)
